On 26-29 November, bauma China 2024 will again take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). More than 3,400 local and international exhibitors will be on site, with more than 200,000 global visitors from more than 130 countries and regions expected to attend.

Occupying an exhibition space of 330,000 sq m, this year’s event will make record use of 20 indoor halls and 100,000 sq m of outdoor area. Twelve major themes will cover the whole ecology of the industrial chain, which comprise:

The largest exhibition area of Construction Vehicles/Earthmoving Machinery/Road Construction Machinery/Lifting Machinery will gather many local manufacturers, like XCMG, Sany, Zoomlion, SDLG, Longking, Shantui, CRCHI, Dingli, Lovol, etc. At the same time, internationally renowned companies such as Caterpillar, Wirtgen, Terex, Manitou, Manitowoc, Bomag, Ammann, Skyjack, Haulotte, Hidromek, etc. will also bring their cutting-edge technologies and innovative products to the same exhibition area. In addition, more companies from Germany, Italy and Turkey will participate in the event.

The two exhibition areas, Transmission Engineering & Fluid Technology and Accessories, Spare and Wear Parts, will also feature a large number of exhibitors. This year, the scale of transmission engineering and fluid technology enterprises has expanded significantly, said the organiser. In the equipment and parts exhibition area, there will be various attachments for construction machinery as they become the focus of attention in the industry.

As an important business platform for the construction machinery industry in the Asia Pacific region and even the world, bauma China 2024 not only brings together international giants and domestic leaders, but also introduces new products and facilitates face-to-face in-depth exchanges and cooperation between domestic and foreign professional visitors and buyers, helping to build a bridge for Chinese enterprises to go global and international enterprises to come in.

New themes focus

With the wide application of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and big data, the construction machinery industry is accelerating its transformation and upgrading to intelligence, automation, electrification and greening. Digital intelligence technology promotes production cost reduction and efficiency increase, and new energy technology meets the increasingly stringent requirements of environmental protection standards. These breakthrough technologies have injected strong impetus into the sustainable development of the construction machinery industry.

To this end, bauma China 2024 has specially planned two new themes: intelligent management and new energy technology, aiming to focus on leading the digital and intelligent transformation and green sustainable development of the construction machinery industry. According to the organiser, these two new themes have not only successfully attracted many ‘new entrants’ who have emerged in the field of construction machinery, including ABB, BYD-FindDreams Battery, Huace Navigation, Shenzhen Huichuan, Xuzhou Wika Electronic, EVE Energy, IFM, CPI Ronghe, etc., but also will present the latest electrified construction machinery products brought by benchmarking enterprises, as well as industrial chain solutions around batteries, motors and electronic control systems.
