Italy-based Trevi Group has recently sold two of its companies - Drillmec SpA and Petreven SpA, which are part of the Oil & Gas division - to Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), a major infrastructure company headquartered in India.

MEIL has been undertaking a wide range of mega infrastructure projects in various sectors like water, hydrocarbons, highways, energy, electric mobility and many other major engineering projects in India and abroad.

Trevi Group is a global leader in the field of soil engineering such as special foundations, tunnel excavation, soil consolidation, as well as manufacturing and marketing of special rigs and equipment relevant to this sector. The Group is also active in the drilling sector (oil, gas and water) both in the production of plant and the supply of services, and it also builds automated underground car parks.

Established in Cesena, Italy in 1957, Trevi currently has more than 30 branches with presence in over 80 countries. The success of the Group is said due to the vertical integration of its main divisions: Trevi, which supplies special services in the field of soil engineering; Petreven, the oil drilling division of the Group; Soilmec, which produces and develops plant and machinery for soil engineering; and Drillmec, which produces and develops drilling rigs (oil, gas and water).

With the exclusion of Drillmec and Petreven, Trevi will now concentrate completely on its historical core business as a foundations contractor and a drilling and foundation equipment manufacturer, by focusing on Soilmec and Trevi brands.

The Group will showcase its Soilmec drilling and foundation rigs at the upcoming bauma exhibition in Munich, Germany from 8 to 14 April 2019 (booth no: FN 522 outdoor area). There will be 14 machines on display, including the SC-135 hydromill (which is already in operation on the new Paris metro project and also on the new residential complex in Frankfurt), and the new SR-85 and SR-145 rigs (in the top of the range).
