Singapore – The Society of Interior Designers, Singapore (SIDS), in consultation with DesignSingapore Council (Dsg), will be postponing the Singapore Interior Design Festival (SIDFest) 2021 in view of the latest Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) measures. SIDFest, previously scheduled for May 17 to May 30 at the National Design Centre, has now been scheduled for June 18 to July 18. The venue will remain unchanged. The SIDS Symposium, originally set to coincide with World Interiors Day on May 29, will also be postponed.

Said SIDS President Keat Ong: “The safety and well-being of our sponsors, partners, participants and guests are our utmost concern. “Given the heightened public safety measures and volatility of the number of community cases, it would be irresponsible to go ahead with the festival in the current climate. “We, however, remain excited to hold SIDFest, but only at a time when it is safe and when everyone can get the most of the experience. “We have scheduled it for June 18-July 18 for now. But we will, with Dsg, monitor the ever-changing situation closely and give everyone an update closer to the new proposed dates. “The theme of SIDFest 2021, Optimised/Optimism, holds true now more than ever. With the rise in cases worldwide, I believe that the importance of good design and the value it brings to communities and individuals will become even more apparent in a post-Covid world.”
