The next edition of Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition (CICEE) will take place on 15-18 May 2025 at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Centre, in the city of Changsha, China.

Themed ‘High-end, Intelligent and Green – The New Generation of Construction Machinery, Emergency Equipment, Mining Equipment and Agricultural Machinery,’ CICEE 2025 is expected to attract more than 300,000 visitors. The event will feature more than 1,800 exhibitors from over 60 countries and regions, spread across 300,000 sq m of exhibition space.

According to the organiser, more than 20 of the world’s top 50 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have confirmed their participation or signed intention agreements. These include Caterpillar, Hitachi Construction Machinery, Volvo, Genie, Manitowoc, Lovol, Sany Heavy Industry, Zoomlion, Sunward Intelligent, CRCC, XCMG and Doosan Bobcat, among others.

A variety of programmes

CICEE 2025 will host numerous high-end forums, competitions and activities, providing a platform for industry professionals to communicate, collaborate and innovate. The event will look at global trends such as digitalisation, intelligence and sustainability.

The inaugural New Technology and Product Launch Conference aims to drive the accelerated transformation towards digital, intelligent and green solutions. The Intelligence-driven Development Conference for High-Quality Construction Machinery Industry Chains will explore how to enhance the resilience and security of construction machinery industry supply chains and promote high-end, intelligent and green development.

The China Highway Society will hold the 9th Asphalt Pavement Forum and New Technology and Achievement Show, addressing the current state and development trends of road construction and maintenance technologies, digital transformation and AI-enabled maintenance mode innovations. The forum will also feature multiple sub-forums on highway safety, green low-carbon materials and intelligent construction.

Another highlight is the Construction Machinery New Energy, New Materials and New Technology Development and Application Conference (CTO Summit), which will be held from 14 to 15 May. Attendees can engage in high-level academic discussions on topics like intelligent manufacturing, new energy applications and green low-carbon solutions.

CICEE 2025 will also launch several programmes, including the RCEP + India Procurement Conference, Belt and Road Infrastructure Summit, and Construction Machinery OEM Procurement Matchmaking Conference.

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) comprises 15 countries, namely Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, China, Japan, South Korea and New Zealand.

Global connection

With the Belt and Road initiative, CICEE has become an important bridge for communication and cooperation between local and international construction companies.

Over 3,000 international buyers, including contractors, builders and rental companies from more than 60 countries, are expected to bring substantial procurement orders in areas such as concrete mixers, excavators, tower cranes and mining equipment. Meanwhile, the International Business Networking Conference will enable local and international companies to connect and collaborate.

In terms of smart solutions, this year’s event extensively applies cutting-edge technologies like virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), providing exhibitors and visitors with an immersive viewing experience. The organising committee is also actively utilising digital technology to enhance the efficiency of the event and improve service quality.

In addition, CICEE 2025 will introduce the Emergency Equipment Industry Chain, Mining Equipment Zone and Road Equipment Zone for the first time, adopting a conference + exhibition format.

Wider scope

This year, CICEE will further expand its scope with 12 indoor halls and four outdoor areas covering four major sectors: construction machinery, emergency equipment, mining equipment and agricultural machinery. The newly established Mining Equipment Area and Emergency Rescue Equipment Area will fill the gap in the mining sector.

The Mining Equipment Area will occupy 20,000 sq m of space, focusing on exploration, mining, intelligent mining solutions, ecological restoration and financing exchanges. This section will have over 200 exhibitors and is estimated to draw more than 30,000 visitors.

CICEE 2025 will also highlight emergency equipment, responding to national strategies and driving the transformation and upgrading of the construction machinery industry.
