Keestrack strengthens in Southeast Asian market with new appointment

Song Yik Chong has been named area sales manager for Southeast Asia at Keestrack. With this latest appointment, Keestrack is strengthening its sales team and expanding the support to its dealer network.

With over 29 years of experience, within several multinational construction companies like Ammann, Caterpillar and Wirtgen, Mr Song will bring extra knowledge and professionalism into these markets. His main focus will be on business management & development and sales, including after sales.

Mr Song is looking to establish an extensive dealer network to cover the complete product range of Keestrack in the Southeast Asia region and beyond, and to ensure Keestrack will be well represented in this market.

“Song brings a huge knowledge in road construction, which benefits Keestrack to grow our markets in existing and new products” said Keestrack CEO Frederik Hoogendoorn.

Besides Southeast Asia, Mr Song will also cover Papua New Guinea, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Mongolia.

“I believe I can build on my network and relations, my long work experience within the construction industry, and my drive to help Keestrack improve their position in the market,” said Mr Song. “Keestrack will keep growing their product range in width and depth in the coming years and I look forward [to] being part of this innovative company.”

Mr Song added, “In 2012, Keestrack already introduced electric driven equipment with on-board diesel/gen-set in the mobile crushing and screening market, followed by a drop off diesel/gen-set unit which could be placed on the frame of the chassis of the crusher or besides the machine on ground level.

“At bauma 2022, they introduced the tracked engine/generator units. A tracked platform on which the drop-off unit can be placed, which can power connected Keestrack e-drive crushers, screeners and stackers directly with electricity in case there is no plug in connection from the grid available – resulting in huge economic savings of the complete production train as it is powered by only one engine.”

“One step further is the Zero range, Keestrack mobile crushers and screens which are sold without a combustion engine,” continued Mr Song. “They can be powered by mains or via any external generator, whether this is a tracked engine unit, a Keestrack e-driven crusher with on-board gen-set and plug out connection or just any generator on site.

“Either way, Keestrack has a full package to convince all customers with the most economic equipment in its range. Whether they are still depending on diesel-hydraulic, with load-sensing hydraulic technology or going full electric, Keestrack can provide the best solutions.”
