Conexpo: Snorkel to launch ‘world’s largest self-propelled boom lift’

Snorkel will unveil its largest self-propelled boom lift at the upcoming Conexpo 2020, the 2100SJ. The company said this model is also the largest self-propelled boom lift in the world.

Dubbed a ‘Mega Boom’, the new Snorkel 2100SJ telescopic boom lift provides a maximum platform height of 64.0 m, a horizontal outreach up to 30.4 m, and an unrestricted platform capacity of 300 kg. For enhanced access and flexibility at height, a 9.1-m jib boom, with a working arc of -55° to +73°, combines with 150° rotation of the 2.4 m x 0.9 m tri-entry platform.

Designed in-house by Snorkel’s engineering team, the new 2100SJ features a number of patent-pending innovations, and a significantly increased working envelope over the current industry standard. The boom lift offers ease of transportation and manoeuvrability on the job site, equipped with five steering modes and a stowed transport width of just 2.5 m.

According to Snorkel, the 2100SJ will be shown as a preview at Conexpo and the company will be accepting pre-orders for this model at the show, with first deliveries scheduled for early 2021.

Among other brand-new product launches from Snorkel at Conexpo will be two new large deck construction scissor lift families, including a range of four ultra-high capacity models reaching up to 21.3 m working height.
